STAFF COMMENTS I RECOMMENDATIONS
This initiated rezoning will enable businesses interested in locating in the
City's BusmessParktodo so without having to go through a two month
rezoning process .
The.M-l Planned. Jndustrial.districtis designed for light manufacturing.
non-polluting industries. Plant exteriors and . construction materials. site
design and layout. facades. ligl1tingand apparent architectural aspects
are subject to review by the ProjectReview.Committee. Depending on the
character of a speciftc project this district is designed to be compatible
with adjacent .landus'es.
The otheravallable industriaidtstrict is designed. for activities which
generate nuisance characteristics .and.are..not . compatible with residential
or lower intensity comnlercialland uses.
As properties develop in the bUSines~park itmay become necessary to
come back and uttlizeadditionalzonmgdistricts, but as a general
application,M-l is best suited based. on what we know at this time.
