AUTHORITY This chapter is adopted under the authority `of. the constitution 'and laws of the State of Texas, including particularly:-the .Texas Local Goverment Code and the Texas Water Code as heretofore or hereafter amended.., and pursuant to the provisions ®f the Charter. of the City ; of C®llege Station, Texas. ;; B® PURPOSE It i~ the purpo e of this chapter to `protect, maintain, `and enhance the: public health, safety, and general wel- fare by es ablishing minimum requirements and procedures to control the adverse impacts associated with the . increased storm water flows generated by development. a ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ a ~ The following objectives will minimize public and private losses due t® flooding, erosion, and sedimentation:. o ~ 1 } To protect human ~lif e and: health; ' 9 .. Such systems typi- cally include detention facilities, retention facilities, dams, lakes, reservoirs,- levees or dikes. CRITBRIA t l ~ general All drainage facilities shall~be designed and con- strutted in compliance with the City:. of College Sta- tion's Drainage Policy and Desig_n Standards. The determination of the necessary areas and extents of drainage facilities ~ha11 be determined by the Administrat®r.
