DRAINAGE BASIN DESCRIPTIQN: ~ ~ The ite drains in a northwesterly direction toward the two { lakes :and the un-named. tributary along the west side of this ~__~ ~` i ~' ~- development. The flow is carried by this tributary through. the ~~ Park to the north and into the Foxf ire Tributary of Carters Creek. Previous drainage studies for this area have previous y been '~ submitted for Woodcreek Phase one, dated ~pr1, 1982; and of ~1 ~, `significant importance is the drainage: study for the two lakes and Sections Four., & Five (Drainage Impact study for Woodcreek 1 -~ Subdivision, Jan 1991}. ..,.This study indicates that the area of ,, this proposed site is included in the pond calculations as ~' intended for devela merit. Furthermore, he property is not ~-~ encumbered by a 100 Year flood plain according to the Drainage i ~- Impact Study for Woadereek Subdivision prepared by Buchanan/Soil r~ t~ Mechanics, Inc. dated .December 7, 1990. i _1 ~ DRAINAGE DESIGN CRITERIA: ~; -~; ~~ The proposed drainage infrastructure as designed in ~J _ accordance with the City of college Station Drainage Policy and Design Standards (DPDS} All inlets are designed to intercept the 10 dear storm under proposed drainage conditions, and the Storm ~. drains are designed to convey this storm without any pressure flow. The storm drain inlets are sized in strict accordance with ~~~ the DPDS udelines. The existin detention facilities have been g g n i~ reviewed for the 10 and 100 dear storm using the U.S. Army corps , L.,~ r~ i 'I i ~, _ , ~_J ~ __ 1 i i ~.~ of Engineer HEC-1 routine run on a personal computer. Flows froml©ts immediately to the south. and adjacent to Woodcreek Drive will be conveyed' by the gutter of ~,, Woodcreek Drive to an inlet as .shown on the Exhibit " D" .Flows , ;I ~'~ -from the lots ad'acent to the lakes will sheet flow- into the 7 ,~ lakes. The areas in the most southerly .:portions of the site are '~' ~~ at the crest of the hill, and sheet flow to the. adjacent ~' undeveloped prope-rty.
