She is not proposing to in.crease the number of children cared for or make any changes from the current operation. She recently discovered .that she needs a conditional use permit from the city to be in compliance with the zoning ordinance. Therefore she is requesbingapproval from the Commission. Included in your packet is a letter from the applicant stating hours of operation and other relevant information. There is also a site plan showing the fenced play area and pick-up area. Staff knows of no complaints relative to this day care home since its initial operation. Conditional use permits are granted by the Commission, subject to appropriate conditions and safeguards,. when the Commission finds: A. That the.proposed use meets all the minimum standards established in the Zoning Ordinance for this type of use; 1 B. That the proposed use is in harmony with the purpose and intent of the zoning ordinance and the plan for physical development of the district as embodied in the comprehensive plan for the development of the City; c. That the proposed use will not be detrimental to the health, welfare, and safety of the surrounding neighborhood >orits occupants, nor be substantially or permanently injurious to neighboring property. 2
