Mr. Esmanc~ stated emphatically that he thinks the Subdivision Regulations should address the requirement `of sidewalks on residential streets. He painted otat that is `not_now a requirement, and he would definitely like to have that section reviewed, and would be in favor of chan~n~ it to provide a wafer glace for pedestrian, both children :and adults, traffic. Mr. Moore stated that although he doee.not think the city should get into the business of telling an applicant how to develop his land, he wondered if cluster parking with sidewalks to both businesses has been considered. Mr. Wells stated that is .not passible in this instance fox these .awe businesses for several reasons including he security required. Mr. Dresser then made a motion to approve the prat as submitted with Mr. Colson seconding 'the mat ion. -Mr. Colson then made a motion to amend the motion to include the condition hat "if this subdivision is ever replotted, the variance far sidewalks is nullified and must be recansa:dered at the time of replotting," Mr. Moore seconded the motion ' o amend. :Yates were cast on the motion to amend which carried unanmausly:~~`Q~.
