AN ORDINANCE.. REVISING ...ORDINANCE.NO. .1638.,. THE . ZONING. ORDINANCE
FOR THE.CITYOF COLLEGE.STATION, SPECIFICALLY AFFECTING PARKING
LOT STANDARDS FOR TEMPORARY PARKING .FACILITIES.
WHEREAS, .. tl1e.City .C9unciloftheCityofcollege~tation, . Texas
held a publi.chearing in the City Ball at 7:00p.m. on Thursdday,
October 13, 1988, on the question of revising Ordinance No.
1638;
AND WHEREAS, the C'i tyCouncil has determined to revise Ordinance
No. 1638;
THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED B\To THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
Amend section 9.2 of ..... ordinan ce 163.8 by adding section 9. 2 .F
TEMPORARY PARKING LOTS to read:

"TEMPORARY PARKING LOTS: When additional parking,. in excess.. of

STANDARDS
1. The surface.of the parking lot may be gravel or some other
temporaryma,terial asapprovedby,the Ci.ty.Engineer.

accordance with the City's drainage ordinance. Curbs,

3. Entrance to the lot from any public right-of-way is at the
discretion of the Commission based on recommendation of the
City Engineer.
4. When entrance is allowed to the. lot from a public right-of-,
.way, that portion of the entrance located in the right-of-
waymustb~pavedwith an all weather surface as approved. by
the City Engineer.
5. Itmus t be shown that steps will--b-e.-..takento prevent the
blowing of dust onto adjacent properties and the tracking of
mud ontopublicrights-"ofway.

The. Commission shall take into consideration the following when
reviewing anyrequ_est for a temporary-parking lot:
Safe and convenient traffic control andhandling,both
internal and external

emergency vehicles
Runoff, drainage.. a~cl. flood control
