Baptist Church, which was the first
Baptist church in Corpus Christi to
participate in The Gabriel Project.
"I think it is definitely meeting a
need and making a statement. It's
one thing to say you're pro-life and
it's another thing to provide care.
This is a hands-on, roll-up-your-
sleeves program. It's a chance for
people to get involved," said'Mr.
Douglass.
St. William's Parish in Round
Rock piloted the Diocese of Austin~s
progGun in 1993. Father Louis
Pavlicek, a pastoral, associate at St.
Willlanl's, believes' The ,Gabriel
Project offers opportunities for all
types of volunteers. Father Pavlicek,
