ORDINANCE NO.
(
AN ORDINANCE RECEIVING CERTAIN TERRITORY ADJOINING THE CITY
LIMITS OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE
STATION, .TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City of College Station, the sole owner of the
hereinafter described ,territory adjoining the limits of the City
of College Station, Texas, has petitioned for annexation of its
property and has stated .by. affidavit that there are .noregistered
voters residing.wi thin the boundaries of the hereinafter
describedterritorYi' and
WHEREAS, the aforesaid affidavit has been filed with the City
Secretary who has certified the same to t~e City Council; and
WHEREAS, t.hePlanning andZoningComrnissionheld a public hearing
at City Hall at 7:00. P.M. on August 16, 1984, and the'City
Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00P.M. on
August 23, 1984, on.the question of receiving certain territory
into the citylimitsi

NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council by virtue of the authority
conferred by Article II, Section 6oftheCharterof the'City of
College Station, Texas, approved April 1, 1978, by this ordinance
does hereby receive such territory within the incorporated limits
of the City of College Station, Texas, such territory being more
particularly described as follows:
All that certain tract or parcel of land lying and
being situated in the Crawford Burnett and Robert
,Stevenson Leagues in Brazos County, Texas, being a
part of that 649.77 acre tract conveyed to
Southwood Valley, Inc. by deed recorded in Volume
322, Page. 670 of the Deed Records of Brazos County,
Texas, andbeingmoreparti~ularly described by
metes andbourids in the description attached hereto
and marked Exhibit "A".
Attached to and incorporated herein asa part of this Ordinance
isa service.plan,markedExhibit"BU, providing for the exten-
sionofmunicipalservicesinto the duly .described territory,
said plan having been presented at the public <hearing. hereto-fore
named and subsequently approved by the City Council of the City
of College Station, Texas. . .
