Re: First Baptist Church Site Plan Modifications
Dear Ms. Key,
As we discussed on the phone Friday please consider the
modifications to the site plan forouy church and determine whether
su'bmittal! to the Planning and Zoning Commission is required for the
proposed 'addition of the two wood frame buildings indicated on the
plan. Please note the following information which may be helpful in
that determination:
1. Each of the buildings contemplated is 24 ft. by 64 ft. and
contains approximately 1500 square feet for a total of
about 3000 square feet.
2. The existing building size is about 41,000 square feet.
3. The spaced is to be utilized for Sund~y school classrooms
during the 9:45 to 10:45 time period and should not
directly increase the peak occupancy of the building which
occurs during the 11:00 worship service. This construction
should not affect parking demand.
4. Two alternate locations are being considered and are
indicated on the plan. As of this writing Alternate 1 is
the preferable plan, however, it has not been determined
how to provide full utilities to this location. Alternate
2 could be served with full utilities but the location is
rather more visible than is desired.
If it is required to submit the site plan for more formal review,
or if you need additional information to make that determination
please call on me. We would like to thank you for your kindness in
considering this plan and helping us to make the deadlines required
for submittal to the P&Z. If I can help in any way please let me know
what I need to do.
