staff cannot support this request. as the tract's current zoning is in
compliance with. the city's LandUse.Plan. Restated that the Planning and
Zoning Commission recomrnen.deddenial "withoutprejudicel' (waivirlg >the 180
day waiting period for resUbmission)by a vote of 6-0.
Jim Jett ,owner of the tract and applicant I stated that his plarl for
developing.the proposed1\-P zoned tract abutting the creek includes an
officecomplexandwou.ldbe developed as a united plan wi th the bank tower
scheduled to be built on the existi.ng A-P land. which . fronts on lIa'rvey Road.
He explained that he is requesting that these i temsbe tabled t() give the
Council >an opportunity t.o view the Richards Subdivision area anci to
consider his plans for development of these tracts as the HolleIlrran Street
extensiori~s const.ructed. He further requested that the rezoning process
take a more formal approach with more direction.from the Council.

Councilman McIlhaney seconded the motion which wasapprovedunarlimously,

C-3/A-P proposalbyavot.e of 6,-1.
Mayor Halt.erinvited comments from the public.
Charles Ellison, owner ...o.f' t.hetract,iexplained that he.purchasecl the
property twqyearsago for retail pu)jposesand hoped that some type of
zor~ing allowing that use could be approv'ed.
