The Commission voted on several motions before a motion was passed. A cop.y of the P&Z minutes are attached. A summary of the motions considered and their results follows: - A motion to recommend approval failed by a vote of 2-4 - A motion to recommend denial .failed by a vote of 2-4 - A motion to recommend approval of 6.2 ac. of A-P and 13.69 ac. R-1 failed by a vote Of 4-2 - A motion to recommend denial passed by a vote of 4-2 Commissioners in opppostion to the request made the following points: - The request did not comply with the City's plan for development in this area - Approval of the request would contribute to further "commercialization" of the SH 6 frontage between Barron and Greens Prairie roads - The applicant could still use the property and expand his current uses by up to 25% (subject to ZBA approval) - Approval of the request would remove some of the Commission's opportunity to plan the development of the newly annexed area There have been numerous rezoning requests in this area since annexation.
