RECOMMEND,ATION AND COMMENTS:
The structure at this location was originally designed for use as
a restaurant. This applicant proposes to redevelop the site and
use the existi'ng structure for a restaurant.
These lots were rezoned fromC-2 to C-N on 5-26-83. This
rezoning action was initiated by the City after a receipt of a
petition from area residents requesting rezoning.
The purpose of the C-N zone is to provide small commercial sites
for convenienc~andpersonal service goods without adver'sely
affecting' the neighborhood. The public hearing is iriten.ded to
provide important neighborhood input into determining permitted
uses and development inC-Nzones.
The 'commission could allow a restaurant in a C-N zone as an, other
use in accordance with the C-Nregulations. Any approval action
should include the PRC recommendations.
