Re: Petition for Annexation of 85.756 Acres
This Tract of land is on the No:rthwestcorner of Barron Road and Texas Ave.
as shown on the attached Map No.1. It is our understanding that the City
has plans to annex 500 feet on each side of Texas Ave. south. This Tract
has dimensions of 1,694.26' along Texas Ave. and 2,250' along Barron Road.
Since this is all one tract, we request that the entire tract be annexed
rather than just the front 500 ' along Texas Ave. to avoid having our land
split-up with part in the City Limits and part out. When this Tract is
developed (probably in the fall of 1983 and early 1984)., the entire Tract
will be developed and not justa part of it.
Regarding Utility Service, it is our understanding that a 6" Sewer line
and a 24" Water line will be extended south along the west side of Texas Ave.
and will go past the front of the Subject Tract. The installation. of these
lines as well as the electrical lines is expected to occur before the end of
1983. Service to this Tract is not expected to. be required before-approximately
March 1984. It is felt that there will be adequate capacity of the utility
service lines to service this Tract in anticipation that it will be developed
during 1984 as a residential subdivision. (single family) with approxirmtely
15% reservedforcorrmercial/officeareas. The Utility Service information
presented here is based upon. discussions between our .representatives..and the
City Staff.
