RECOMMENDATION AND COMM~NTS:
In the fall of 1982 staff offered four reasons forrecomrnending
denial of a C-3tequeston nearby BlockY, .U'P II (82-137).
Three of thesefc1mr reasons are not applicable or have been
adequately addre~sed.. in selecting this. si te/zoning <combination.
The remainingcor)cern ,is a lack of need for additional
commercial zoning in the UP area. There is an adequatearnount
of 'commercial zoning along Tarrow st., Fed Mart Dr., and
pniversityDr. to allow for neighborhood/convenience businesses
to serve' this area.
The requested zoning is compatible with area zoning/uses.
Use and site development in the C-N zone is subject to
Commission approval.
The staff has no opposition to this request. Lack of need, as
cited above, is the only staff concern with respect to this
request.
