All public infrastructure construction shall be in accordance with the current City of College Station Standard Specifications for Water & Sewer Construction. All construction shall be coordinated with the City Engineer's office. Private sanitary sewer line construction shall be in accordance with the City of College Station Building Code. All sewer line materials, structures and appurtenances shall meet current City standards and details. Alternate materials shall be allowed only if the Contractor receives written approval from the City Engineer. Manholes, either cast-in-place or frecast, shall be constructed and installed in accordance with curren City of College Station specifications and details. Standard manhole rings and covers shall be used. The compaction of the backfill material shall be verified by in-place density. tests. The rate of density testing shall be determined by The City of College Station inspector. The construction shall comply with OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1926 Subpart P for trench safety requirements. General information on trench safety is presented on the Trench Safety Details sheet. Sewer lines shall be tested for exfiltration and TV inspected prior to acceptance.
