CONSTRUCTION NOTES:
1 . All waterline and appurtenance construction shall be in
accordance with the current City of College Station Standard
Specifications for Water &: Sewer Construction. All
construction shall be coordinated with the City Engineer's office.
2, All waterline materials, structures and appurtenances shall meet current
City standards and details. Alternate materials shall be allowed only if the
Contractor receives written approval from the City Engineer.
3. The Contractor shall be responsible for verifying the exact location of all
existing underground utilities. Notification of the utility companies 48 hours
in advance of construction is required.

4, The construction shall comply with OSHA Standard 29 CFR Part 1926
Subpart P for trench safety requirements. General information on trench
safety is presented on the Trench Safety Details sheet.
5, Where horizontal or vertical deflections are proposed. the deflection must
occur in the pipe only, no deflection is allowed at the joint.
6. Detector tape sholl be installed in the trench above all waterlines
at a depth of approximately 24" below finish grade.
7. Pressure Testing is to be conducted on all water lines in conformance
wIth the current technical specifications for the City of College Station.
All water lines must be disinfected in accordance with City of College
Station and Health Deportment requirements.
8, The tops of all valve boxes are to be flush with the surrounding
finished grades.
g, Upon completion of construction the Contractor shall provide a
set of "red-lined" drawings marked "As-Built' to the City Engineer.
