ORDINANCE NO. 1379
AN ORDINANCE REZONING A 5.66 ACRE TRACT OR PARCEL OF LAND LYING AND BEING SITUATED
IN THE MARIA KEGANS SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 28 AND BEING A PART OF BLOCK 4, HARVEY
HILLSIDES SUBDIVISION ACCORDING TO THE PLAT RECORDED IN VOLUME 263, PAGE 484 OF
THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN METES
AND BOUNDS IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM AGRICULTURAL OPEN SPACE DISTRICT A-O
TO COMMERCIAL INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT C-3.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M. on
Thursday, August 12, 1982 on the question of rezoning certain areas
within the City Limits;
AND, WHEREAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that certain 5.66 acre tract, part
of Block Four (4), Harvey Hillsides Addition in the Maria Kegans Survey, Abstract
No. 28 Harvey Hillsides Addition, College Station, Brazos County, Texas and being
more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING at the iron rod set in the southeast right-of-way line of State Highway
No. 30, located N 450 0314311 E a distance of 1136.33 feet from the iron rod found
marking the intersection of the beforementioned southeast right-of-way line of
State Highway No. 30 with the northeast right-of-way line of Linda Lane, same being
the west corner of the beforementioned Block 4;
THENCE N 450 0311 4311 E along the beforementioned southeast right-of-way line of
State Highway No. 30 for a distance of 568.17 feet to an iron rod set for corner;
THENCE S 450 021 4511 E across the beforementioned Block 4 for a distance of 411.92
feet and corner, in the southeast 1 ine of said Block 4, same being the west corner
of Lot 10 Block 2, and north corner of Lot 12 Block 2;
THENCE S 410 30' 24" W along the beforementioned southeast 1 ine of Block 4 for a
distance of 285.49 feet and corner, same being the west corner of Lot 12 Block 2,
and the north corner of Lot 14 Block 2;
THENCE S 370 551 41" W along the beforementioned southeast 1 ine of Block 4 for a
distance of 286.22 feet and corner;
THENCE N 440 561 17" W across the beforementioned Block 4 for a distance of 465.17
feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING containing 5.66 acres of land more or less, as
surveyed by B. J. Kling, Registered Publ ic Surveyor, June, 1977, from Agricultural
Open Space District A-O to Commercial Industrial District C-3.
And, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
