Width - not less than full width of 011 points of ingress or egress. Washing - when necessary, wheels sholl be cleaned to remove sediment prior to entrance onto public roadway. When washing is required, it sholl be done on an area stabilized with crushed stone which drains into an approved trap or sediment basin. All sediment shall be prevented from entering any storm drain, ditch or wotercourse using approved methods, Mointenance - the entrance shall be maintained in condition which will prevent tracking or flowing of sediment onto public roadways. This may require periodic top dressing with additional stone as conditions demand, and repair and/or cleanout of any measures used to trap sediment. All sediment spilled, dropped, washed or tracked onto public roadway, must be removed immediately. Drainage - entrance must be properly graded or incorporate 0 drainage swale to prevent runoff from leaving the construction site. 8. Contractor to coordinate exact location of this detail. . o oi 6. CONSTRUCTION ENTRANCE 7. NOTES 2. Within forty-ei9ht (48) hours of pouring the blackout and top, flace wire mesh with 12" openmgs over all curb and grate inlet openings so tho ot least 12" of wire extends across the inlet cover-gutter and around 011 grates as illustrated. Place small sand bogs against the wire so os to anchor some against the gutter, grate and inlet cover, If the sediment filter becomes clogged with debris so that it no longer odequately performs its function, remove the sand bags, clean it and replace the sand bogs. Make weekly inspections of these sediment filters for conformance to these conditions. Particularly inspect all inlets after each rain. Completely remove 011 sediment filters upon establishment of grass, final stabilization of construction site. Do not use a sediment filter to control erosion around 'Y" inlets, Utilize hay boles or sediment fences. Do not place hay bales in the throat of any inlet. STORM WATER DISCHARGE AUTlHORIZATION: 1. A Notice of Intent (NOI) sholl be submitted to EPA no less than two days prior to commencement of construction activities. 3. 2. AU contractors and subcontractors providing services related to the SWPPP sholl sign 0 Contractor Certification statement acknowledging their responsibilities as specified in the SWPPP. 3. A copy of the SWPPP, including Contractor Certifications and any Revisions, Sholl be submitted to the City and filed with the construction plans, and sholl be retained on-site during construction. 4. A Notice of Termination (NOT) shall be submitted to EPA when the site has 100" of the disturbed areas stabilized and the site no longer has storm water discharges associated with industrial activities (construction), or the NOT permittee or co-permittee no longer holds operational control of the construction. 4. 5. EROSION CONTROL NOTES 1 . Site entry and exit locations shall be maintained in a condition which will prevent tracking or flowing of sediment onto public roadways. All sediment spilled, dropped. washed or tracked on a public roadway must be removed immediately. When washing is required to remove sediment prior to entrance to 0 public roadway, it sholl be done on on area stabilized with crushed stone which drains into an approved sediment basin All fines imposed for tracking onto public roods shall be paid by the contractor. 2. A berned or otherwise spill protected area shall be specified by the contractor for the location of anyon-site fuel storage tanks. 3. Temporary seeding or other method of stabilization shall be initiated within 14 days of the last disturbance on any area of the site, unless additional construction on the area is expected within 21 days of the lost disturbance. 4. All staging areas, stockpiles, spoils, etc. shall be located such that they will not adversely affect storm water quality. Otherwise, covering or encircling with some protective measure will be necessary. 5 Upon completion of fine grading. all surface areas disturbed within or adjacent to the construction limits sholl be permanently stabilized. Stabilization is obtained when the site is covered with impervious structures and paving and/or 0 uniform perennial vegetative cover. The perennial vegetative cover must have a coverage of at least 70 percent, as determined by the owner's representative. 6. Erosion control devices may be added or reduced in the field os directed by the Owner's representative. 7 MAINTENANCE Erosion controls shall be repaired or replaced as inspection deems necessary or as directed by the Owner's representative. Accumulated silt at any erosion control device sholl be removed when it reaches a depth of 6", and sholl be distributed on site in a manner not contributing to additional siltation. 8. The Contractor is responsible for re-establishing any erosion control device which he disturbs. Each Contractor shall notify the Owner's representative of any deficiencies in the established erosion control measures which may lead to unauthorized discharge or storm water pollution, sedimentation or other pollutants. Unauthorized pollutants include, but ore not limited to, excess concrete dumping or concrete residue, points. solvents, greases, fuel ond lube oil, pesticides, any solid waste materials 9. Open ends of storm sewer pipes shall be adequately protected at the end of each day by the contractor 10. Any pipe stubbed out from a storm drain sholl be plugged until the incoming pipe connection has been completed. 11 Stabilize 011 areas disturbed at proposed storm sewer outfall ditches with "BonTerra C2 Erosion Control Blanket" by Southem Erosion Control Technology.
