AGENDA ITEt1 NO.5 -- A publ ich~arins on the question of rezoning a 0.25 acre
tract generally located 350 feet east of Texas Avenue and 400 feet north qf
Brentw60d Drive from Apartment Building District R-4 to General Co~mercial
District C-l. The applicat.ion is in the name of Mr.' l.J. Kirkpatrick, Sr.
Mr. Mayo explained that this was a smalJ tract which had beeD. left out of pre-
vious rezoning. He point~d out that the tract was far too small for ~partmen~
development, and thatth~ C.-l rezoning vJoulq be logical.
The public hearing was opened.
Mr. Gerald Farrar stated that he was representing Mr. Kirkpatrick and explained
\^Jhy the small tract had remained zoned R--4.. He said that he was tryi.ng to put
five"tracts o.f land together for development by a large variety type store.

Commissioner Watson moved that the Commission recommend appr;oval of the rezoning.
The motion was seconded by Commissioner Sears and approved with Commissioner
Hazen absent.
