ORDINANCE NO.
AN ORDINANCE REZONING A O. 7 9 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE CRAWFORD BURNETT LEAGUE,
BEING A PART OF THAT 19.24 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO AREA PROGRESS CORPORATION BY
DEED RECORDED IN VOLUME 436, PAGE 596 OF THE DEED RECORDS OF BRAZOS COUNTY, TEXAS
AND BEING MORE FULLY DESCRIBED IN THE BODY OF THIS ORDINANCE FROM GENERAL COM-
MERCIAL DISTRICT C-l TO APARTMENT BUILDING DISTRICT R-5.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS:
WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing in the City Hall at 7:00 P.M.,
on Thursday, October 23, 1980 on the question of rezoning certain areas within
the City Limits~;
AND, WERHEAS, the City Council has determined the following:
To rezone or change the classification of all that 0.79 acre tract or parcel of
land lying and being situated in the Crawford Burnett League in College Station,
Brazos County, Texas, being a part of that 19.24 acre tract conveyed to Area
Progress Corporation by deed recorded in Volume 436, page 596 of the Deed Records
of Brazos County, Texas and being more fully described as follows:
BEGINNING in the northwest line of Airline Drive at the P.C. of a curve to the
right (R=668 .15'), N 36056' 00" E -- 357 .87 feet from the northeast line of
Southwood Drive, which point is also the most easterly corner of that 2.47 acre
tract described by City of College Station Ordinance No. 1181;
THENCE along the arc of said curve in the northwest line of Airline Drive through
a central angle of 9008'54";
THENCE N 47004'46" W
281.74 feet;
THENCE S 42055'14" W
tract;
136.36 feet to the north corner of the said 2.47 acre
THENCE S 53004'00" E -- 285.93 feet along the northeast line of the said 2.47
acre tract to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 0.79 acres of land, more or
less, from General Commercial District C-l to Apartment Building District R-5.
AND, it is ordained that said change shall become effective immediately.
