NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING -- REQUEST TO REZONE PROPERTY
This is to notify you that the City of College Station has received an application
requesting the rezoning of a tract of land located within 200 feet of property
owned by you. This request will be considered in two public hearings to be held
as follows:
Planning and Zoning Commission: 7:00 P.M., Thursday, March 19, 1981
City Council: 7:00 P.M., Thursday April 9, 1981
Both hearings will be held in the Council Room of the College Station City Hall,
1101 South Texas Avenue.
The details of the rezoning request are as follows:
Location: The property in question is made up of two tracts located south of and
adjacent to Southwest Parkway East and approximately 600 feet east of the East
Bypass. (see enclosed map)
Existing and Proposed Zoning: Both tracts are now zoned R-l, Single Family District.
The applicant requests that they be rezoned as follows:
TRACT 1: 27.37 acres from District R-l to Apartment District R-4 (Medium Density)
TRACT 2: 13.42 acres from District R-l to Townhouse District R-3
Applicant: The application is in the name of the Cruse Corporation, 1700 Puryear,
College Station, Texas.

On April 23, 1981 the College Station City Council held a public hearing
on the question of re~oning a tract of land within 200 feet of property
owned by you. A portion of that rezoning request was tabled by the
City Council pending further study of the area.
The portion of the request that was tabled, consideration of a reqnest
for apartment zoning on a 27.37 acre tract located on the south side of
Southwest Parkway approximately 600 feet east of the East By Pass, has
been placed on the Council agenda for consideration on November 12, 1981,
at 7 p.m. in the Council Room, College Station City Hall.

The College Station City Counci I will hold a public hearing on the question of rezoning
the following property: Two tracts out of a 40.79 acre tract located on the south side of
Southwest Parkway East between Texas Avenue and the East Bypass to be rezoned as follows:
TRACT 1: 13.19 acres from Single Family District R-l to Townhouse District R-3
TRACT 2: 23.51 acres from Single Family District R-l to Apartment District R-4
The application is in the name of the Cruse Corporation, 1700 Puryear, College
Station., Texas.
The said hearing will be held in the Council Room of the College Station City Hall,
1101 South Texas Avenue at the 7:00 P.t1. meeting of the City Council on Thursday,
April 23, 1981.
