Rock Prairie East of SH 6 to W. D. Fitch ROW Requirements
This brief document will try to formulate a guideline in determining the right of way (ROW)
requirements for Rock Prairie Road east of SH 6. The current Thoroughfare Plan, the Bike, Ped.,
Greenways Master Plan, the Bryan/College Station Unified Guidelines, the current discussion
with regards to updating the unified guideline cross sections and Kimely-Horn's current Rock
Prairie and SH 6 study was used as reference.
From SH 6 to first median break, Kimley-Horn's layout for the approach to the six lane Rock
Prairie Bridge does not include bike lanes. The Bike, Ped., Greenways master plan calls for bike
lanes. Below is Kimely-Horn's cross section modified to include bike lanes and required
sidewalk width, plus ROW requirements.
