Fitch ROW Requirements This brief document will try to formulate a guideline in determining the right of way (ROW) requirements for Rock Prairie Road east of SH 6. The current Thoroughfare Plan, the Bike, Ped., Greenways Master Plan, the Bryan/College Station Unified Guidelines, the current discussion with regards to updating the unified guideline cross sections and Kimely-Horn's current Rock Prairie and SH 6 study was used as reference. From SH 6 to first median break, Kimley-Horn's layout for the approach to the six lane Rock Prairie Bridge does not include bike lanes. The Bike, Ped., Greenways master plan calls for bike lanes. This cross section will continue to Bird Pond Road. At Bird Pond Road the outermost eastbound la'ne of Rock Prairie Road becomes a right turn lane and it is dropped at the intersection and will not continue pa st the intersection. Guerra Jr. AICP, PTP Rock Prairie Road continues as a two lane major collector from Bird Pond Road to Barron Road. Southeast of Barron Road, Rock Prairie transitions to a four lane minor arterial. At Barron Road, the outer most westbound lane of Rock Prairie turns into a right turn lane and it is dropped at the Barron Road intersection and does not go beyond the intersection.
