City Engineer Development Services City of College Station College Station, Texas RE: Variance Request for Gated Residential Communities (Geometric Design Guidelines) — Second Street Apartments Dear Mr, Gibbs: The purpose of this letter is to initiate the variance request for the Gated Entrance Geometric Design for the above -referenced project. We are requesting a variance to the UDO Section 8.3.V Private Streets and Gating of Roadways due high density requirements of the NG-3 Zoning and the limited space in order to meet the building and parking densities on the site. We will provide a one car queuing space for vehicles of residents entering the site. The parking garage is designed for residence parking and access only, eliminating the need for the public to enter the site. On street parking is allowed on Cherry Street for visitor parking.
