As you may already be aware, the City of College Station has begun the process of updating its Comprehensive Plan. Because this update will be the first holistic review of the Comprehensive Plan since its adoption in 1997, it is anticipated that there will be substantial changes to the Land Use Plan. Because of the impending update, staff will recommend to the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council that there not be any ad hoc changes to the plan at this time. Your application did meet all minimum submittal requirements, and so you may proceed forward with your request to the Planning & Zoning Commission and City Council if you wish. Again, staff will recommend to the Commission and Council that no changes be made until the City's Land Use Plan can be studied as a whole.
