RE: FIRE FLOW ANALYSIS
PRIMROSE SCHOOL PROJECT (LOT 1, BLOCK 2 - TOWER POINT SUBDIVISION PH. 12)
COLLEGE STATION, TEXAS
Mr. Gibbs:
This letter is provided in lieu of a formal water system analysis for Lot 1, Block 2 of the Tower Point
Subdivision Phase 12. The Primrose School Project will tie into an existing 6" water line stub designed
by Walter P. Moore in the plan set titled "Tower Point Infrastructure Plans for Phase 12, Lots 1-3, Block
2" and the associated Water Report.
The building planned in the development is 12,000 sf and will be built using Type V-B construction. The
International Fire Code requires a minimum fire flow of 3,000 gpm. The building will be fully sprinkled
which decreases the required fire flow by 50% (1,500 gpm). This flowrate can be met using the existing
fire hydrant on Arrington Road. As a result, no additional analysis was performed on the system, since
the existing system is adequate to handle the demand. If you have questions regarding the water system
in either phase, please feel free to contact me at your convenience.
Sincerely,
OF I
