Box 9960 College Station, Texas 77842 RE: Lakeridge Replat — Fire Flow Analysis Dear Erika, As discussed we have run a fire flow for the proposed eight (8) inch waterline that we are constructing to Lot 2, Block 1 of the Lakeridge Subdivision. This fire flow analysis has made several assumptions for what will be constructed on the new lot. Our assumptions are that a small convenience store and gas station will be constructed on that lot. The building will be fully sprinklered and will be approximately 7,000 SF in size. The building type will be Type V-B construction and the maximum fire flow demand will be 1500 gpm. The attached run shows that given these assumptions the waterlines perform adequately and within the City design guidelines. Pipe 4046 is closed in this fire flow simulation run, which simulates the radial feed to Lot 2, Block 1 of the Lakeridge Living Subdivision. The 1500 gpm fire flow is placed on node 59340 which is the fire hydrant location and the maximum velocity occurs in line 3996, 4045 and 4044 and is 9.6 fps. The minimum pressure at the fire hydrant occurs at node 59340 and is 60 psi under fire flow conditions. Both of these parameters (velocity and pressure) are within proper design guidelines as the velocity is below the maximum 12 fps and the pressure is above the minimum 20 psi requirement during fire flow. have any questions please do not hesitate to call.
