SUBJECT: Taco Bell- NRA Review
Staff reviewed the above -mentioned Non -Residential Architectural plans as requested. The
following page is a list of staff review comments detailing items that need to be addressed.
Please address the comments and submit the following information by any Monday at 10:00
a.m. for further staff review:
One (1) revised set of elevation drawings
Please note that this application will expire in 90 days from the date of this memo, if the
applicant has not provided written response comments and revised documents to the
Administrator that seek to address the staff review comments contained herein. If there are
comments that you are not addressing with the revised elevations, please attach a letter
explaining the details. If you have any questions or need additional information, please call me

Dear Ms. Hovde:
This letter is in response to your comments for the submittal for the Taco Bell project. All of these
comments are addressed in the plans as I have noted below.
y) The rear fagade is exceeding the 20% maximum of metal allowed per fagade. I assume that the
V metal being calculated is a cooler or something similar that s behind the screen. You can
remove the stairs and screen from that calculation.
RESPONSE: Stone Wall has been added at rear of building to increase percentage of
masonry, thereby decreasing percentage of metal.
The rear fagade is also lacking one architectural relief elements per Section 7.9.13.2 of the
\4 Unified Development Ordinance. In this section, there is a list of options that can be used to
satisfy this requirement. A total of two different elements arl required on this fagade.

RESPONSE: Per discussion with Laur Hovde, it was agreed that the stone wall can be used
to satisfy the requirements of 7.9.8.2 by acting as a pilaster. a% Qto+C ALq CoIkMYL

3) No more than 33% of the front fagade should be on the same plane, per Section 7.9.A.
Minimum articulation depth is 4'.
RESPONSE: Per discussion with Lauren Hovde, it was agreed that by moving the wall plane of
the entry tower of the front fagade away from the building additional 2'-0", it
would satisfy the requirement of the 4'-0" minimum articulation depth.

RESPONSE: Note has been added.
VA) Please add a note that states that this lot is part of Building Plot d.) as shown on the Preliminary
Plat of the Tower Point Subdivision. The building plot is for the purpose of signage,
landscaping, and Non -Residential Architectural Standards as applicable to building plots over
150, 000 square feet.
