Ok-
We are going to go ahead and submit the drawings this am. I haven't heard back from Butch regarding the fire
hydrants- I am not sure why he sent us the data on the ones he did in the first place. We will modify the fire flow
report once we get that data and hopefully that will be really soon so as not to delay signing the plans this week
for permit.
Thanks!

We will get them there as soon as we can on tuesday morning- just waiting to hear from butch.

All of the projects get assigned at 9am on Tuesdays. I'm not sure about Matt's schedule, but I think I will have

time to stamp them this week (if everything is in order).

Thanks so much Erika. What time do you usually receive plans for review on Tuesdays? We are about to have
the comments all taken care of except modifying the fire flow data from the different hydrants. I have requested
the data from Butch so hopefully we can have that info very soon.
Basically, we are wondering if we just turned in the revised engineering plans to you tomorrow (we would go
ahead and submit all of the copies for signature, which matt said we could do when I met with him on Friday)
and you can just look them over instead of the ones we submitted last Friday. All the items will be taken care of
and then hopefully we can get approval this week. They are really in a tight place schedule wise and we can't
afford another two week review.
Let me know- I am going to go ahead and shift the FDC back to the back of the building which is where it is
currently.
Thanks!

Melissa,
I still haven't been able to get a hold of Steve to ask about the FDC. He may be out of the office, but I'll let you
know when I hear something.
It looks like that 20-ft PUE was dedicated by plat. Volume 911, Page 477
That's fine. This is only the a small addition to an existing structure, so we can let the report suffice.
Thanks,
Erika

Erika,
Let me know as soon as you hear on the FDC and we can shift it accordingly.
Does the city GPS system have that volume and page for that easement by chance?
Also, is the technical design summary really necessary given the very limited scope of this project? I know in the
UDO it says that either a drainage report OR the technical Design summary is required and this seems like an
instance where the drainage report would suffice. I know on Asked residence, Josh did not require the technical
design summary based on the scope and scale of the project.
Thanksl

Hey Melissa,
I still haven't found out anything on the FDC yet. Hopefully I'll hear back from the fire marshall on Monday
do have a few comments on the engineering docs:
1. Label the volume and page number of the existing 20-ft PUE.
file://CADocuments and Settings\ebridges\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4DAD55133City A 2 12yd F
Page 4 of 6
lease connect the proposed sanitary sewer service to the existing line outside of the PUE to minimize the
rivate line within an easement.
VSince there are 3 fire hydrants surrounding the site, please use flow data from one of those hydrants. Based
on that, you can make an assumption that 2 hydrants will provide the 1500 gpm that you need rather than
Vplease
ming the fire truck will have to pump a single hydrant,
provide a copy of Appendix D for the Drainage Report.
OpPiease let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Erika

Well, let me know what you hear from the fire marshall. I guess we can just shift the FDC back if needed when
we submit final plan copies. Revised site plan is attached.

I will send the revised site plan, but wanted to go through a few questions really quickly first.
Quick questions on a few comments:
1. I rotated the FDC to the side of the building facing university oaks. Will that work for it facing the fire
lane? I believe the fire lane is university oaks... there is an existing rod iron fence along that side of the
house. I know that the existing FDC Is at the back pretty close to where we showed it re -located to. I will have
to check on the fire marshal] on this one. Since there is a fence, they may want not want it to face that
file://C:\Documents and Settings\ebridges\Local Settings\Temp\XPgrpwise\4DAD55B3City of4CW20d E
Page 5 of 6
direction.
2. We added the two fire hydrants that would service the property and the one at the house behind the pi phi
house is within 150'. I will call out the fire hydrants on the site plan for clarity. ok
3. I have labeled the water and ss lines as best as we know- the design plans didn't have slopes or pipe types,
so it will all have to be field verified which we added to the plan. That's fine
4. what are you looking for in the "note indicating the location of the property with regard to the applicable
FEMA firm panel. In the site data table we have a note that states that it is not within the 100 year flood plain
per the Tema firm panel. I can submit a copy of the firm panel with the pi phi site sketched in? That note
sounds fine. If it was previously there I didn't see it.
Thanks Erika!

I'm hoping to be back tomorrow, but I would hate to schedule something and then cancel. Could you send me
a pdf of the revised site plan? I can call and discuss if need be.
Thanks,
Erika

Thanks for letting me know- hey do you think we could sit down on friday to go through our revisions and make
sure we have it all taken care of- we really need to avoid another round of comments if at all possible because
of the tight schedule. I think that is possible given the scope of this proejct.
Also, any updates on southside plaza approved plans?
Hope you are feeling better soon!

Melissa,
I'm out of the office with a nasty bug right now, but I hope to be back in the office reviewing them tomorrow. I
don't anticipate having many more comments based on my review of them on Tuesday. In case I can't get
them turned around quick enough, just go ahead and turn in the revised plans anyhow on Monday.
Thanks,
Erika

Do you have an idea when the rest of the engineering review will be completed for Pi Phi. They are on a really
tight deadline to have construction done before Rush in the fall and we need to have the plans back in on
Monday if at all possible.
Thanks!
