1. (Repeat Comment) Fire Flow Report -The "Water System Flow Test Report" dated July 16,
2008 was for a fire hydrant located at 3316 Keefer Loop. Please submit a report for the
correct address and a revised letter from the engineer reflecting the fire flow based on the
actual results .
2. (Repeat Comment) Fire Flow Report -Please provide the building construction type (based
on size and material of the building) with the fire flow report. In accordance with the 2006
International Fire Code -Appendix B, the building construction type must be utilized to
determine the minimum fire flow required from the fire hydrant. FYI ... Your architect should
be able to provide this information on building construction type.
3. Construction Plans -The existing manhole that you are tying into should be shown at its full
depth as it was in the previous submittal.
4. Construction Plans -Please label the existing manhole's invert flowline as it was shown in
the previous submittal.
5. Construction Plans -TCEQ requires that manholes be spaced at least every 400-ft. Please
revise.
6. Construction Plans -It appears that the arrows indicating the flow direction are reversed .
7. Construction Plans -There should be a 0.1-ft drop across the invert of proposed Manhole
#1 as was provided in the previous submittal.
8. Construction Plans -The existing manhole that you are tying into was purposely built deep
to be able to service your site and as well as others further down Rock Prairie in accordance
with the City's Master Water Plan. Tying into the existing manhole at the proposed elevation
and running a 1.25% slope initially is still leaving the line extremely shallow at the end.
Public sewer lines are required to be built in accordance with the Master Water Plan and in
such a manner that service can be provided to the maximum number of customers in the
future. Please revise the plans to provide the maximum depth and utilize the minimum
0.40% slope for the duration of the line.
9. Construction Plans -The arrows are not correctly identifying the existing PUE.
10. Construction Plans -Is the entire sanitary sewer line encompassed by the one PUE
referenced?
11 . Construction Plans -Per TCEQ, one full pipe joint with a cleanout is required to allow for
future expansion.
