Jason, I am attaching my letter of November 30, 2009 objecting to the re -consideration of the rezoning
request for 1270 Harvey Mitchell Parkway South (attached to which is my prior letter of objections). The
A&M System continues to object to this rezoning request for the reasons set out in the attached letters.
also understand that at the last Planning and Zoning Commission hearing that considered this matter, a
statement was made that A&M may allow a frontage road to Luther Street, or something to that affect.
am not sure who the source of that statement is, but please be advised that it is incorrect...
Can you let me know by Monday whether the attached letters will be made part of the package delivered
to the council members? Thanks, Tim

Mr. Coffey,
I have confirmed with the City Secretary's office that the letter you have attached is being distributed as
part of the Council packets for the meeting on the 14th. Also, I would like to follow up on the statement
about the potential frontage road. In an October meeting that included other City staff, TxDOT, and Rod
Weis of A&M Transportation Services, there was a discussion that if a frontage road was constructed
along this section of Harvey Mitchell Parkway, there's the potential for A&M bus service to be provided.
Obviously that was a preliminary discussion but with a width ranging between 300 and 400 feet, the
frontage road should be able to be accommodated within the existing TxDOT right-of-way. I hope this
helps clarify why the statement was made. Let me know if you have any questions.
Thanks,
Jason

Thanks, Jason. Just wanted to make sure that no one from A&M is suggesting that the A&M System
would provide land for a frontage road. Thanks for your clarification. Have a good weekend. Tim
