We said wait for the CS sewer line (best option), install a holding tank, or install a drip system (ma y not be possible). An ae ro bic/spray will not fit. In any event, we need a re draw from the OSSF designer because even if they choose a holding tank, it still must be permitted/ inspected and pumping records must be kept on site (high water alarm is mandatory). When sewer does come, they will need to abandon the system as per OSSF regs . They just have too large of a church on that lot. Same problem w/ many residential houses in the County! Don Plitt ------------------------------- From: Erika Bridges [mailto:ebridges@cstx.gov] Sent: Tuesday, January 21, 2014 4:24 PM To: Don Plitt Cc: Matt Robinson Subject: OSSF for Salem Baptist Church Don, I'm not sure if you will recall discussing this project from last year, but this church came in for a pre-application meeting for an approximate 1 acre site on Royder Rd. Based on our conversation, I told them they would need to get a septic survey and demonstrate that the aerobic system, building, parking, etc. are all going to be able to fit on site. They just submitted the attached site plan and septic survey to the City for review, and the area they are proposing for the aerobic system is much smaller than what the sanitarian proposed in his report. Also, the capacity of the church has changed from 100 people referenced in the survey to 126 people on the site plan (and additional capacity proposed in the future). I just wanted to give you a heads-up that we are requesting that they submit their plans to Brazos County Health Department for review and comment since the OSSF will be permitted through you. I am also commenting that the site plan does not match the survey and that the survey needs to be updated to reflect the new capacity. Please let me know if you have any questions.
