THE WOODLANDS
The development of Block 1, Lot 3 of the Graham Comer Plaza plat does not require storm
water detention. When the land included in the Graham Comer Plaza subdivision was
platted, a portion was given to the City as part of a greenway dedication in exchange for a
waiver of the storm water detention requirements. The plat is attached for reference.
Sincerely,
Steve E. Duncan, P .E.

cd = friction loss (usually 0.9 for smooth 2.5-in opening)
D = diameter of opening in inches (2.5 in most cases)
PP = pitot pressure (psig)
P, = residual pressure (psig)
Ps = static pressure (psig)
REQUIRED FLOW
Building Type = VB (Section 602 and 1505 of 2000 International Building Code)
Fire Area = 4,560 square feet (Section BI 04 of 2000 International Fire Code)
Required Fire Flow = 1,750gpm (Table BIOS .I of 2000 International Fire Code)
Number of hydrants required = I (Table Cl 05.1 of 2000 International Fire Code)
RESULTS
6,237 gpm available > 1,750 gpm required = OK
