DOYEN 41 109835 I •+...0 ' 330/ s--- FIRM FIRM # 12327 SCHULTZ ENGINEERING, LIS; General Information Location: The Roans Chapel Commercial Subdivision is an 8.123-acre commercial subdivision being developed immediately southwest of the existing intersection of State Highway 30 & Roans Chapel Road in Brazos County, Texas. The Final Plat shows a total of 6 lots in this section. Primary Water Supply: An existing 12" line running along State Highway 30. Land Use: Commercial Design Criteria/Analysis Primary Water Supply: Existing 12"water line along SH 30. Existing System Pressure Tests: Flow Hydrant - See Exhibit B Flowrate: 1,131 gpm Static Pressure: 85 psi Residual Pressure: 78 psi Exhibits: Exhibit A—Water Layout Exhibit B—Wickson Creek SUD Flow Test Report Exhibit C—Pipe &Junction Analysis Summary—Domestic Flow Exhibit D—Pipe& Junction Analysis Summary—Fire Flow Domestic Use 16.6 gpm per lot Total Domestic Demand= 100 gpm The proposed 8" & 12"waterlines are in accordance with the BCS Water Design Guidelines. This report provides the results of the water system analysis under the fire flow and domestic demand requirements, (2600 gpm) which produced the lowest pressure in the system. Water System Summary Summary of Calculations w/Minimum Required Line Sizes Domestic Demand Pressure Min. 78.5 psi Velocity Max. 3.94 fps Fire Flow and Domestic Pressure Min. 45.9 psi Demand Velocity Max. 7.38 fps As shown above the system exceeds the minimum required pressures of 35 psi for domestic flow and 20 psi for fire flow in both analyses. The maximum velocity of 7.38 fps is less than the required maximum of 12 fps. Conclusion The proposed water lines and fire hydrants provide the required fire flow. The proposed 8" & 12"waterlines meet or exceed all of the design criteria for the City of College Station and Brazos County. They will provide adequate water pressure, flowrate and velocity for domestic demands and fire flow.
