HomeMy WebLinkAboutAgenda 25 January 2007 Regular Agenda Graham Road Rezoning To: Glenn Brown, City Manager From: Lance Simms, Acting Director of Planning & Development Services Agenda Caption: Public hearing, presentation, possible action, and discussion on an ordinance rezoning 7.355 acres at 1701 Graham Road and 8.707 acres at 1835 Graham Road from M-1 (Light Industrial) to C-1 (General Commercial). The subject property is generally located south of the intersection of Longmire Drive and Birmingham Drive. Recommendation(s): The Planning and Zoning Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval at their regular meeting on 4 January 2007. Staff also recommends approval of the rezoning request. Summary: This rezoning request involves a total of 16 acres and is in compliance with the Comprehensive Plan - the Land Use Plans reflects Retail Regional for the subject property. Longmire Drive, a Major Collector on the City's Thoroughfare Plan bisects the subject property. The property is bound on the north by Birmingham Drive (a Minor Collector on the Thoroughfare Plan), on the east by State Highway 6 and on the south by Graham Road (a Major Collector).
