South Hampton Phase 2 Rezoning
PLANNING:
1. The purpose of the rezoning is to amend the PDD as it relates to the fencing
requirement along Nantucket Drive. Please note this one the Concept Plan.
Response: A note has been added to the Concept Plan near the title block.
2. Please remove Note 6 from the Concept Plan —it does not relate to the
subject property.
Response: Note 6 has been removed and the remaining notes renumbered.
3. Note 5—you may wish to add something to this note that talks about the
allowed level of disturbances in the buffer due to fence construction. Is hand
clearing permitted? Is machinery permitted in the buffer?
Response: Note 5 has been clarified to state that only hand clearing will be allowed
in the buffer area and no machinery will be allowed in the buffer area.
4. Prior to application, staff advised the applicant to meet with the
neighborhoods. Has this been done? What was the outcome of the meeting?
Response: Yes. See attached e-mail correspondence.
5. As discussed, if the amendment to the PDD is approved, an amending plat
will need to be submitted to remove the note from the plat. Amending plats
are approved at the staff level.
Response: Noted.
6. FYI—I have already received several calls about this rezoning. The concerns
related to the use of aluminum fence (not wrought iron, as proposed),
irrigation disturbing the natural buffer, and the appearance of the wood
fencing that is perpendicular to the iron fence.
Response: Noted.
