GATTISENGI \EERING ENGINEERS • CONSULTANTS July 10,2009 Mr. Ricky Palasota Brazos Valley Services 6988 Raymond Stotzer Pkwy College Station,Texas 77845 Re: Victoria Avenue Extension&Infrastructure Project Mr. Palasota, This letter is to summarize to date directives set forth by the City of College Station today July 10th, 2009,specific to the project referenced above. The City of College Station inspector Mr.Tinker in conjunction with Carol Cotter, PE,of Development Services have decided in unison to reject all reinforced concrete curb sections placed at the job site due to abnormal cracking,subsequent patching and questions about structural integrity. From this directive, Brazos Valley Services is now required to remove and replace all concrete curb sections on the project and any additional concrete work not to city standard or as deemed as such by the city inspector Mr. Tinker. As a result of the curb sections being rejected and coupled with the fact that there were questions or possible vertical datum coniucts with the project betnchmarks, its also the responsibility of Brazos Valley Services to utilize the services of Strong Surveying Company to double-check as-built street profile for correctness and alignment prior to the placement of the new concrete curb sections. The storm sewer as-built flow lines also need to be confirmed as well. Upon completion of the as-built survey.Oaths Engineering will confirm project status,current sub-grade alignment and shall provide further instructions for the project to proceed. If you have any questions or foresee another resolution to the items listed above,please coordinate with me immediately so that we can evaluate all available options.
