At the request of Mr. Keith Tinker of the City of College Station, Mr. David Requena and Mr. Craig Moore of CME Testing
and Engineering, Inc. (CME) traveled to the project site referred to as "Victoria Avenue & Infrastructure Extension; Reatta
Meadows, Section 1, Phase 2" in College Station, Texas. Messrs. Requena and Moore arrived on site at 10:00 a.m. on
Tuesday,August 25, 2009 to obtain four(4)HMAC pavement cores from the constructed pavement sections of the roadway.
All four core locations were selected by Mr. Tinker and are described in the attached Table 11. The HMAC cores were
collected in accordance with ASTM D 5361. Each core sample was measured for thickness in accordance with ASTM D 3549
and tested to determine the percent air voids in accordance with ASTM D 3203. Percent air voids were computed based on the
theoretical maximum density of the bulk samples collected on August 20, 2009 (Table I). The results of the laboratory analysis
are presented in the attached Table I and Table II.

2. Average specimen thickness was determined using calipers as specified in ASTM D 3549.
3. Per B/CS Unified Specification No. 330 compacted HMAC pavement should have between two percent (2%) and ten
percent(10%)air voids.
4. Per project plans and specifications minimum of 2 inches of HMAC.
