HomeMy WebLinkAboutNotes STAFF REPORT The item before you is a rezoning for 11 lots of the Needham Estates Subdivision from A-O, Agricultural Open to R-1 , Single Family. The property is located along Renee Lane at the intersection of Barron Road. The property is currently vacant and surrounded by other A-O properties. The comprehensive Land Use Plan identifies this area as Single Family Residential, Medium Density and Floodplain, however there are no Greenways or FEMA floodplain on the property. Renee Lane is a local road with access to Barron Road, a minor arterial. Barron road is scheduled for widening, however this section is the last phase, and construction has not yet been funded by the city. The subject property was platted in 1969 and annexed in 1995. The property is near Sonoma, Edelweiss, Reatta Meadows, and Westfield subdivisions. This request is in compliance with the City's Comprehensive Plan and staff recommends approval of the request. I have received one phone call inquiring about this rezoning. Questions?
