HomeMy WebLinkAboutCorrespondence March 22, 2007 Lance Simms Acting Director of Planning &Development Services City of College Station 1101 South Texas Avenue College Station, Texas 77840 RE: Comp Plan amendment and rezoning for the 5 acre tract on Fitch Parkway scheduled for City Council this evening Dear Lance: As you know from the P&Z hearing, each Commissioner felt that this development and zoning could be appropriate for this tract, but were uncomfortable being unable to see a concept plan in light of the neighboring concerns. Although the UDO does not require a concept plan or elevation drawings as part of a PDD application, my client is amenable to preparing these materials and going back for further discussion at the P&Z level. We understand the neighborhood concerns and would like to work with them toward a solution. We have been working on this since October of last year and have always intended to create a residential development that would be an asset to the area and not impact the neighborhood negatively. Therefore, we request that we can keep our current application active and be remanded back to the P&Z for further discussion of both the comprehensive plan amendment and the rezoning request including site details. Thank you for your time and consideration Sincerely, Jane R. Kee
