As I have related to you and to Mike Haggerty through conversations in October and November, the gold color shown on the sign details and approved by DRB appears instead to be a strong yellow on the signs that were installed. When considering signs within the Wolf Pen Creek zoning district, staff and DRB consider colors and color combinations. Since the installed signs do not match those approved by DRB,the signs need to be replaced to match those approved or a new DRB application needs to be submitted seeking approval of the signs as installed. If the unapproved signs remain, the City will need to begin the code enforcement process. As I understood from our conservation over a month ago, you stated that you would work with the Carino's on how to proceed. Please let us know as to which action you intend to pursue. If seeking DRB approval for the signs as installed, please submit a DRB application by 10:00 AM on Monday, December 10th for the next available DRB meeting on January 11th. Please contact me with any questions you may have regarding this matter. We look forward to resolving this issue with you. Regards, Jason Jason Schubert Staff Planner Planning&Development Services City of College Station Phone:979.764.3570 Fax: 979.764.3496 pfl Presentation, possible action and discussion regarding sign details for Johnny Carino's Country Italian Restaurant located at 620 Harvey Road in the Wolf Pen Creek Zoning District. Case #07-00500147 (JS) Jason Schubert, Staff Planner, presented the item stating that the applicant was requesting to replace the existing signage for the site. He also stated that after approval by the Design Review Board, a sign permit application needs to be approved before the sign can be installed. Alan King motioned to approve the sign request for three signs as submitted. Hunter Goodwin seconded the motion; which passed (4-0).
