HomeMy WebLinkAboutCorrespondence Lorton - Fw: BIRD POND WATER Page 1 From: "Rick Conlin" <rconlin@txcyber.com> To: "Josh Norton" <Jnorton@cstx.gov> Date: 5/1/2007 8:51:53 AM Subject: Fw: BIRD POND WATER Josh, Attached are the two plan and profile sheets for the waterline that will be servicing the proposed Bird Pond Estates Subdivision. I had talked to Alan last week about submitting the"front part"of the water line drawings first since one of the developers, Mr. Cody Catalena, has a house currently under construction and will likely require fire flow protection before the remainder of the water line is construction as part of the subdivision development. We hope to submit the drawings for the remainder of the subdivision by the end of this week or the beginning of next week and are in the process of working out some technical requirements with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ) to see if it will be possible to include a permanent pond as part of the drainage system for the development without having to obtain a"water rights" permit from TCEQ. Before we formally submitted the drawings to you tomorrow, we wanted to request that you give a brief look at the proposed alignment which ultimately will connect the end of the City of College Station's (City's) existing 6"water line along Frost Drive to the 24" inch line along Rock Prairie Road. The proposed line will be 8" and will extend along the north side of Frost Drive within the existing ROW and then cross Bird Pond Road with a cased crossing, before turning southeast within a newly dedicated public utility easement of the subdivision just outside of the expanded ROW for Bird Pond Road. The alignment will cross a small drainage swale, but that drainageway is not within any FEMA flood plain. We plan on putting a fire hydrant near Cody's driveway for his residence. Please let us know if you have any comments and we will be happy to include them.
