RE: College Station Medical Center Development Plans
Dear Tom:
I believe we have good news, and let me advise you there has been a change in the City's
approach to your development plans since we met last Wednesday. Upon further review
of our subdivision regulations, staff has determined that you will be able to resolve the
Normand Drive roadway issue without a development agreement. This should allow
your project to move forward even faster than we discussed last week.
After College Station Medical Center submits a development plat with the dedication of
the Normand Drive ROW and related utility easements, the City will be able to accept
payment for the hospital's portion of Normand Drive that can be escrowed. This is
contingent upon receipt of your engineer's estimate for the cost of your portion of the
street, and acceptance of the estimate by the City's Engineer. It is City staff's
understanding that you should be able to submit the development plat within the next few
days.
Please let me know if what has been outlined above is acceptable to the College Station
Medical Center staff and consultants. If you should have any questions, please do not
hesitate to contact me.
Sincerely,
Glenn D. Brown

Molly Hitchcock - The Med's contribution for Normand

Subject: The Med's contribution for Normand
CC: Molly Hitchcock; Paula Peel
The Med replatted their property in December 2003, at which time the City received a 60 -ft. right-of-way
dedication for the extension of Normand. In lieu of building or bonding the street, they were allowed to write
the City a $135,000 check to fulfill their obligation. It's in account number 139-0000-481-99.00 Project no.
ST0408.
Sorry for the delay in this --none of us that were here at the time were involved in these negotiations so it took
some running down! Much thanks to Paula for her sleuthing! (We've copied the info you found for our files
too. Thanks!)
Molly
