HomeMy WebLinkAboutStaff Comments ENGINEERING COMMENTS NO. 2 1. Provide additional ROW for the creek crossing as the retaining wall appears to be more apart of the roadway than a drainage system. You may also need to adjust the PUEs in that area. Or redesign to stay within ROW. 2. The grate inlets seem like they would be a frequent maintenance problem since the open ditches can carry a significant amount of debris. Have you considered slots in the headwall with the flow dropping on to splash pads located in the creek? Or any other alternative? 3. Provide more detail on the aerial crossing. The crossing should be supported by piers. How will the suspended joint/hub be supported? 4. Add fire hydrant near the critical low point in the 10" water line. 5. Explain how you determined your flow rate in your water report. 6. It appears that the water line might be crossing the headwall near Station 55+52. Show conflict. Can this be avoided? 7. Add culvert to the Headwall Cross-section detail. 8. Will Wellborn SUD allow their water line in the ROW? 9. Is the cross section provided for Channel 8 shown as "typical" or specific to Cross-section A-A? Conflicting information is denoted. 10. What is the depth of the concrete ditch lining shown in the headwall cross- section? Does the storm water stay within the lined portion? 11. Please label on the Plat the PUEs that are not "typical" in width. Reviewed by: Carol Cotter Date: July 17, 2006 STAFF REVIEW COMMENTS NO. 1 Project:WILLIAMS CREEK PH 5 (FP) - 06-00500147 PLANNING 1.
