Dear Ms. Cotter:
Your email to Todd Carnes has been forwarded to me, assistant to Carey P. Hausman, who executed the
application for abandonment as President of Maxi, Inc., the General Partner of Hausman Interests Townhomes,
Ltd. I am attaching the drafted Consent Action of Maxi, Inc. Would you be so kind to review the Consent and
let me know if it will meet the requirement regarding signatory authority?
I have found an address for Javier Alacala-Herrera and am mailing him the Exhibit 5 with a letter requesting his
signature. Hopefully, he will understand the request and return the form, duly signed. Once I have that
returned, it will be forwarded to you, along with the Consent Action and copy of the Deed. Incidentally, in
prior conversations with the Planning and Development Department, I was told that since the adjacent property
in Harvey Hillsides was not in the Heritage Townhomes Subidivion, the consent of that owner would not be
required.

To finish processing the abandonment we need the following:
- Deed or Title Insurance (within last 90 days, or Nothing Further Certificate)
- Corporate Resolution for Signature authority, and
- Exhibit 5, the adjacent property owner is Alacala-Herrera, We need his signature of agreement, or reason why you
cannot get it.
