Re: Variance Request for McDonald's Restaurant Drink Stop Vendor
George Bush Drive
College Station,Texas
Dear Ms. Hartl,
As we discussed the Coca-Cola Companies in conjunction with McDonald's Corporation has chosen
College Station as its nationwide test market with respect to new beverage service upgrade concepts. Part
of this beverage service upgrade includes a new remote drink stop vendor, otherwise know as a"Regret
Vendor",to be located within the existing parking area at the above referenced store location. To
accomplish this,Coca-Cola is proposing a freestanding pre-engineered accessory structure to house its
vending machines. This structure will have a pre-finished metal shroud and will be equipped with non-
illuminated graphics at side and rear panels.
Since we are aware that certain elements of the proposed design may be in question with respect to the
current ordinances for accessory structures, it is with the highest regards that we request consideration for
a variance at this location so that our clients may offer this additional service as part of a greater concept
plan to the consumer.
In addition to the pre-finished metal shroud,we can offer the addition of a low bench type retaining wall
surround at three sides of the unit which will be finished with stone veneer top match that of the existing
building. We have attached photographs of the shroud prototype for you review in consideration of the
request.
We appreciate your time and effort and do look forward to hearing back from you soon. Please feel free
to contact me if I can be of any assistance,
Sincere
